Our retail store/repair shop feels like a throwback to yesteryear where customers can expect expert, friendly solutions to their problems and things can actually get fixed instead of just getting thrown in the trash.
On the other hand, half of our business now comes from online sales through our websites.
As a small business, we need someone with a broad set of interests and abilities - someone who is willing to wear multiple hats depending on the needs at hand.
We are currently looking for a technical sales account manager to support our online industrial power transmission and hydraulics business.
Here is a breakdown of the job duties:
- Review customer requests, identify appropriate product solutions, and provide accurate price proposals.
- Provide follow-up throughout the sales process to ensure that customer concerns are addressed, timely payments are made, orders are progressing through the manufacturing process and customers are kept up-to-date on the status of their order.
- Prepare or procure order specific documentation such as certificates of origin, certificates of compliance, and customs documents.
- Liase with existing vendors to obtain quotes, place orders, and ensure that delivery dates are met.
- Conduct internet research to identify new sources for repair parts and replacement items to support in-shop repairs and customer needs.
The following areas of experience are preferred:
- Belt drive systems.
- Hydraulic hose.
- Electric motors, gearboxes, and drives.
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong Excel skills - including the use of formulas.
- Internet research skills.
- Ability to read parts diagrams and mechanical drawings.
