7K a year Leland Saylor Associates is seeking a full-time Construction Administrator to support our federal client in Martinsburg, WV with administrative tasks pertaining to tracking project plans and documents and the coordination of construction project scheduling, budgeting, invoicing, documentation, and reporting needs.
The Construction Administrator will support project staff by facilitating project logistics by such means as electronic correspondence, ad-hoc meetings, conferencing, electronic submittals, and project management reporting.
The ideal candidate will have three or more years of experience in the construction industry.
We are looking for an energetic, can do individual with excellent written and verbal communications skills and a deep proficiency in the Microsoft suite available to work onsite.

Support the construction project management team in a variety of tasks, which may include:
Screen incoming inquiries and telephone calls, furnishes requested information, refer incoming inquiries and phone calls to others better qualified to assist, and handles inquiries and calls that do not require the attention of a supervisor in a friendly manner.
Gather data for general information purposes for special reports, contacting other departments, employees, agencies, and individuals for additional materials as necessary, and prepare reports or other documents as required.
Review materials being submitted for project staff's attention to ascertain that all relevant data, files, signatures, etc.
, are included.
Keep track of the correspondence and projects instituted by project staff.
Attend ad-hoc meetings and assist in tracking, addressing, and resolving project actionable items.
Track and ensure that project administrative tasks are closed out in a timely manner.
Assist in developing project reports as needed.
Provide additional services consistent with the above duties as requested.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative/clerical position, preferably in the Architectural/Engineering/Construction (AEC) Industry.
Experience with federal agencies such as the U.
S.
Department of Veteran's Affairs preferred.
Bachelor's degree preferred, but an extra 3 years of relevant construction work experience may substitute for a degree.
Local to the Beckley, West Virginia area, and able to commute daily.
Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Must be detail-oriented with effective organizational skills.
Must have excellent communication, customer service, and support skills.
Must have the ability to proof and edit various correspondences.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and take initiative/be a self-starter.
