Possess a current valid driver's license Possess a bachelor's degree or at least three years of credible civilian/military law enforcement or business management experience that demonstrates the individual's capacity to effectively manage a security guard services contract Possess successful experience in field supervision including civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement, or commercial/industrial security guard service Ability to pass a medical/physical, vision, and hearing examination initially and every three years thereafter Ability to pass a drug screening Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification Possess, or have the ability to obtain, armed security guard licensure in WV (including less-than-lethal weaponry) Essential Physical Job Functions:
Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping, up to 12 hours per day, either indoors or outdoors, during daytime or nighttime.
Outdoor posts may require the individual to withstand extreme heat, humidity, cold, and/or severe weather (e.
g.
, snow, sleet, rain, hail, wind) for up to four hours without shelter Frequent contact with the general public, law enforcement, and dispatch centers, requiring the ability to speak clearly and distinctly and remain calm in stressful situations (e.

, confrontations with angry, distraught, disturbed, or violent persons) Ability to remain on post for up to three consecutive hours without eating, drinking, or relieving bladder/bowels Ability to maintain a high degree of alertness for up to 12 hours with the ability to mentally and physically react quickly to a variety of unexpected and dangerous situations Ability to use senses (i.

, sight, hearing, smell, touch) to discern unusual or dangerous situations Ability to use handcuffs, baton, and firearm at any time while on duty Ability to read/understand post assignments and write reports (handwritten and electronically using online forms and Microsoft Office applications, i.

Ability to read, understand and carry out both routine and emergency dispatches/orders Ability to verbally or physically subdue violent, potentially violent or disturbed individuals, or intervene in a crisis (e.

Responsibilities:
Maintain 24/7 security at the client site per requirements outlined in the contract's Statement of Work Maintain qualified personnel and staff to meet the requirements and ensure all posts remain manned at all times Be thoroughly familiar with all Post Orders and ensure the entire guard force has completed the required Post Qualification Standards before entry on duty Ensure timely submittal of all reports including payroll Maintain clear and concise communication with staff, customers, employer, and guard force Be familiar with all areas at the client's site Provide a briefing to the oncoming guard force regarding all recent, ongoing, or anticipated events and occurrences Manage inventory of government-provided and contractor-provided equipment and supplies Manage and supervise security guards and alarms as they perform a variety of security-related duties, as follows, per Post Orders and Officer's Duty Log, as well as be able to fill in or provide relief for their posts:
Access and egress control to prevent civil disturbances Communications and dispatching Roving patrol operations Emergency and event response Traffic control Receipt, use, and safeguarding of keys Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, equipment, access control systems, fire alarms, IDS, etc.
in the Security Control Center Monitor and operate badging services, customer services, support PIV card process, maintain databases, etc.
in the Visitor Center Lock/unlock entrances, exits, and gates; turn lights on/off; lock repositories and cabinets; close and secure open windows Enforce building rules and regulations Maintain physical security and law and order Report any hazardous conditions Respond to injury or illness Develop reports and records; provide court testimony if needed Raise, fly, lower, fold, and store US flag and other flags as displayed at client's site The COGAR Group Ltd.
